DMCA Policy for Wild Rice Salad

Wild Rice Salad respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. This DMCA Policy outlines our procedures for addressing alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

As a platform, Wild Rice Salad is committed to promptly processing and investigating notices of alleged copyright infringement and taking appropriate actions under the DMCA and other applicable intellectual property laws. This policy applies to copyright owners and those who believe their content has been wrongfully removed.

Filing a Notice of Copyright Infringement (Takedown Notice)

If you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content hosted on Wild Rice Salad infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a written notification pursuant to the DMCA. Please provide our Designated Copyright Agent with the following information:

Filing a Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you have the right to file a counter-notification. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notification, Wild Rice Salad may restore the removed content in approximately 10 to 14 business days unless the copyright owner files a court action seeking a court order to restrain the subscriber from engaging in infringing activity relating to the material on our system. To be effective, a counter-notification must be a written communication provided to our Designated Copyright Agent and must include substantially the following:

  • Identification of the material that has been removed or to which access has been disabled: Include the specific URL(s) on Wild Rice Salad where the material appeared before it was removed or disabled.
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that the subscriber has a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled.
  • The subscriber's name, address, and telephone number.
  • A statement that the subscriber consents to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which the address is located, or if the subscriber's address is outside of the United States, for any judicial district in which Wild Rice Salad may be found, and that the subscriber will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
  • A physical or electronic signature of the subscriber.
